THERE WAS NO PUBLIC INPUT.
MOTION BY GULLICKSON, SECOND BY SWENSON TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 09, 2017, MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. CARRIED
MOTION BY SWENSON, SECOND BY HAGEN TO APPROVE THE TREASURER’S REPORT AS PRESENTED. CARRIED
COMMITTEE REPORTS
FINANCE- TRUSTEE JILKA STATED THEY HELD A COMMITTEE MEETING TO WORK ON THE 2018 BUDGET AND IT’S ON THE AGENDA FOR APPROVAL.
PUBLIC WORKS- TRUSTEE SWENSON STATED THERE WAS A CAMPGROUND MEETING, HE WASN’T ABLE TO ATTEND. DALE REPORTED THEY MET AT THE SITE AND THERE WAS DISCUSSION ABOUT APPLYING FOR THE GRANT TO PUT IN 10 SITES WITH ELECTRIC AND BATHROOMS. MBS WILL DONATE THE EQUIPMENT TO STRIP THE SITES. MICHAEL RALEIGH IS WORKING ON APPLYING FOR A HANDICAP DOCK.
PERSONNEL / SOCIAL SERVICES/ SMART GROWTH- NOTHING AT THIS TIME.
VILLAGE ENGINEER, MIKE STOFFEL WAS PRESENT. HE REPORTED THE PRELIMINARY SET OF PLANS ARE DONE FOR THE CDBG PROJECT. DALE IS GOING TO TELEVISE THE SEWER LINES TO FIND SERVICES. BIDDING SHOULD BE DONE IN FEBRUARY OR MARCH. THE HOMEOWNERS WILL HAVE THE OPTION TO TAKE THEIR TREES AND IF THEY DO NOT WANT THEM, THE VILLAGE WILL REMOVE THEM.
THE 2018 BUDGET WAS REVIEWED. THE TAX LEVY WILL REMAIN THE SAME AS LAST YEAR.
MOTION BY JILKA, SECOND BY SWENSON TO APPROVE THE 2018 BUDGET WITH THE TAX LEVY SET AT $140,204. CARRIED
PRESIDENT ESTERHOLM APPOINTED NANCY KALANDER AND DONNA KOCH AS CHIEF INSPECTORS FOR THE 2018-2019 ELECTION TERM. POLL WORKERS ARE BETTY GRUNWALD, CHERYL HEGEHOLZ, KAY ESTERHOLM, AND CINDY HENNINGFELD.
THE REAL ESTATE RESOLUTION HAS BEEN PREPARED BY THE VILLAGE ATTORNEY FOR THE SALE OF THE LOT TO RICK AND TARA FREEMAN.
MOTION BY DRAEGER, SECOND BY GULLICKSON TO APPROVE THE REAL ESTATE RESOLUTION #04-17. CARRIED
DALE REPORTED THE STREET SWEEPER IS BROKE DOWN AGAIN. CURRENTLY, THE BROOMS ARE NOT MOVING AND THE TANK IS RUSTING OUT. HE WASN’T ABLE TO FINISH THE STREETS WITH IT. HE WANTS TO KNOW IF HE SHOULD CONTINUE TO FIX IT OR LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT ONE OVER THE WINTER.
PRESIDENT ESTERHOLM DIRECTED HIM NOT TO FIX IT AND TO LOOK INTO OTHER OPTIONS, INCLUDING RENTING ONE.
INTEGRITY INSULATION PLUS HAS PURCHASED ANOTHER BUILDING IN THE INDUSTRIAL PARK AND MBS WOULD LIKE TO RENT THE BUILDING AT 707 AIRPARK DRIVE FOR STORAGE PURPOSES.
MOTION BY SWENSON, SECOND BY HARTMANN TO RENT THE BUILDING AT 707 AIRPARK DRIVE TO MBS FOR STORAGE PURPOSES FOR $250 A MONTH, PLUS UTILITIES. CARRIED
INTEGRITY INSULATION PLUS PUT TWO 1,000 GALLON FUEL TANKS ON THIS NEW PROPERTY. HE WILL BE REMOVING THEM.
TRUSTEE JILKA REPORTED THE BRIDGE ON COUNTY ROAD “C” IS STILL PROJECTED TO BE DONE THIS YEAR.
MOTION BY SWENSON, SECOND BY HARTMANN TO APPROVE EXPENDITURES. CARRIED
