Prentice is located at the intersection of Highways 8 and 13; we are close to 4 lane interstate highways and have rail service in our industrial park. The population of Prentice and the local area is approximately 3,000. I have included web site information on our village and county.
We have built with growth in mind an extended aeration wastewater treatment plant, an 80-acre industrial park with lighted blacktop airport runway adjacent to the industrial park, commercial and residential subdivisions serving the industrial base close to shopping and golfing. Excel Energy has a 10mva electrical sub-station one mile from the industrial airpark with 12.5kva 3 phase electric power to serve the community and the heavy industrial park for future expansion.
We will sell the land for your new building for $1.00, or upon board approval, we can build a new building for you on a lease purchase plan, we also have a low interest revolving loan fund available to you for your new business or expansion if you should need it. The Village of Prentice & Prentice IDC has done loans at 2 points below the prime interest rate for existing business building expansions or new companies. We have also approved industrial revenue bonds in the past and can assist you and your company with the help of our NWRPC Village Planner.
The Village has low fire insurance with a Class 5 ISO fire insurance rating thanks to the Volunteer Fire Department, which will be a significant dollar savings on your building insurance. Prentice has Special Service Fiber Optic Toll Cable for T-1 or DS3 Digital Data Transmission.
